LayerFS is an image filing system that allows directories to be built by overlaying different
source directories, at run-time i.e. without actually duplicating data on your disc!
Only one directory has to be writable, to allow seemingly full write access to the whole structure.

Praktikum is a formula based program for processing numerical series. It does not work in a matrix representation mode in the way spreadsheet programs do, but all the given data are stored within named variables and referred to by these names in the formulae. Here a variable can be a whole series of data from an experiment or it can be defined as a formula depending on other variables. The variables can then be presented either in tables or in graphs.

EasiWriter is a word processor with a very powerful hirachical structuring and formatting approach.
TechWriter is enhanced over EasiWriter by completely integrated equation typesetting functions. TechWriter is regarded by many of its customers as the best choice for scientific typesetting on any computer platform.
Units is a tool that allows you to convert a huge variety of units into each other. You can
freely extend Units' databases with your own favourite units; additional information can be stored
with each unit. Units is based around the SI base units and can convert any unit into its
SI equivalent with just a mouseclick.
Units is Shareware, i.e. you can download the program and test if it suits your needs for a trial period of 4 weeks. After that, you have to register Units or destroy your copy. To help your way through, there's even an online version of the manual!
